Dr. Becker is a distinquished speaker at the Metropolitan New York Association for Applied Psychology (METRO). METRO was founded in 1939 as a not-for-profit professional association. We are the oldest and largest local professional association of applied psychologists in the U.S. METRO also takes pride in serving as a role model for other applied psychology organizations now operating in Chicago, Houston, Washington, D.C., Southern California, and Arizona. The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology is a Division within APA that is also an organizational affiliate of APS. The Society’s mission is to enhance human well-being and performance in organizational and work settings by promoting the science, practice, and teaching of industrial-organizational psychology. Towards this end, SIOP:
- Supports SIOP members in their efforts to study, apply, and teach the principles, findings, and methods of industrial-organizational psychology
- Provides forums for industrial-organizational psychologists to exchange research, insights, and information related to the science, practice, and teaching of industrial-organizational psychology
- Identifies opportunities for expanding and developing the science and practice of industrial-organizational psychology
- Monitors and addresses challenges to the understanding and practice of industrial-organizational psychology in organizational and work settings
- Promotes the education of current and future industrial-organizational psychologists
- Promotes public awareness of the field of industrial-organizational psychology

Dr. Wendy S. Becker is the Editor of The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, the official publication of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Inc. Circulation is 6600, which includes the membership of the Society (professional and student), public and corporate libraries, and individual subscribers. The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, TIP (ISSN 07391110, USPS#014838), is published quarterly by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Inc., 440 East Poe Road Ste 101, Bowling Green OH 43402-1355.
W. Mark Dale, MBA is Past President of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors ASCLD). During his tenure he oversaw the incorporation of the National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC). ASCLD was successful in obtaining Federal funds and facilities (laboratory and office space) from the Federal Department of Energy Laboratory in Largo, Florida. The NFSTC provides workforce development programs and research. The ASCLD effectively partnered with the Department of Energy laboratory mandate to apply military technology for the civilian community. An agreement was formed between ASCLD the DOE Largo laboratory to form the NFSTC as a non – profit organization. The NFSTC has been very successful in obtaining federal funding to provide workforce development programs.
For sixty years, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) has served a distinguished and diverse membership. Its nearly 6,000 members are divided into ten sections spanning the forensic enterprise. Included among the Academy's members are physicians, attorneys, dentists, toxicologists, physical anthropologists, document examiners, psychiatrists, physicists, engineers, criminalists, educators, and others. Representing all 50 United States, Canada, and 52 other countries worldwide, they actively practice forensic science and, in many cases, teach and conduct research in the field as well. Each section provides opportunities for professional development, personal contacts, awards, and recognition. Many sections publish periodic newsletters and mailings which keep their members abreast of activities and developments in their field.
